Reconciliation Ministry will be sponsoring it biennial “Bike to the Assembly” from Indianapolis to Nashville, Tennessee beginning July 3rd to July 8th.  This year’s bike ride will launch the announcement of the Reconciliation Ministry’s Annual Fund and will feature General Minister and President, Sharon E. Watkins.  The event kicks off from Southport Christian Church in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Dr. Watkins will be joined by Rev. John Yonker from Columbia, Missouri and other volunteer riders along the route.  The ride will culminate in Nashville, Tennessee at Greenwood Cemetery at the gravesites of Preston Taylor and Bill Fox to commemorate their witness to racial justice and wholeness within the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
